Builders Care, the nonprofit arm of the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA), raised more than $12,000 during the fifth semi-annual building product blow-out to help local homeowners in need. More than 300 people attended the half-day event held on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Cape Coral Plumbing.
The fundraiser included new items and donated goods from local suppliers and building industry related companies. They provided great deals on all kinds of items including appliances, lighting, plumbing fixtures, kitchen cabinets and paint.
“This year’s fundraiser was a huge success,” said Heidi Taulman, Builders Care executive director. “The sale brought in $12,000 which was $2,000 more than last year’s sales. This money will enable Builders Care to provide roofs, wheelchair ramps, bathroom renovations and more to residents in need in Lee County.”
Supporting companies included Priority Marketing, Ferguson Kitchen, Lighting & Bath, Cape Coral Plumbing, Wayne Wiles Floor Coverings, Modern Tile, R.T. Moore, Suncoast Contractors Supply, Hide-Away Storage, Norris Home Furnishings, United Mechanical, Stock Development, Aubuchon Team of Companies, D&D Garage Doors and Dal-Tile.
