Batter up: Leadership NEXT networking social to explore the business of baseball on July 12

Leadership NEXT, a monthly program for advancing business professionals, will host a networking program on Tuesday, July 12 at the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels’ game.

The Leadership NEXT program will delve into the business of baseball with a behind-the-scenes look at running a minor league team. Attendees will hear from leadership of the Mighty Mussels, who will share insights into stadium suites and operations, the Mighty Mussels brand change and how businesses are using the sport as an opportunity for team building and client relations.

Following the program, Leadership NEXT attendees can enjoy free admission to the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels’ 7 p.m. game against the Clearwater Threshers with seating in the stadium’s private, fully air-conditioned party suites overlooking the field. It’s also Two for Tuesday, which offers BOGOs on domestic draft beer, soda and hotdogs, as well as National Brat Night.

Attendees of Leadership NEXT represent a variety of businesses and industries throughout Southwest Florida. Sessions offer opportunities to develop new knowledge and skills, establish working relationships with colleagues and engage in valuable programs and discussions to further enhance their careers. Leadership NEXT’s annual sponsor is the Florida Gulf Coast University Alumni Association.

The July networking program, sponsored by Secure Staffing and Suncoast Beverage, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12 at Hammond Stadium at the Lee County Sports Complex, 14100 Six Mile Cypress Parkway in Fort Myers, held in Suites 3 and 4 of the stadium’s upper level.

Admission is $20 for Chamber members and $30 for future members, and includes light bites and a complimentary drink. Stadium parking is included for advance registrants only. Attendees can register at FortMyers.org or call 239-332-2930.
