Patriotic pet-friendly event to feature live music, fun and adoptable pets
Bell Tower Shops and the Gulf Coast Humane Society have partnered to host a Yappy Hour event on Friday, July 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Center Court. Held on the second Friday of each month, Yappy Hour is the area’s largest pet friendly social hour. Pet lovers are invited to bring their four-legged friends out to play and enjoy an evening of fun at the dog-friendly shopping, dining and entertainment destination.
In the patriotic spirit of July, Yappy Hour will also feature a special contest to name the most patriotic pet. The contest’s winning dog and owner will receive a ticket for Pure Florida’s dog-friendly Bark on the Ark cruise. Pets and their owners are invited to come decked out in their most patriotic gear for a chance to win. An on-site $5.00 donation to the Gulf Coast Humane Society is requested per dog to enter.
Offering activities for the whole family to enjoy, the event will feature live music by Peter Kolter of Electric Mud in Center Court, a bounce house, a sidewalk chalk station, lawn games and more. Cru will present the beer and wine for the evening, with all proceeds from beer purchases to be donated to the Gulf Coast Humane Society. Omaha Steaks will also present a “Doggone Good Deal” – $1 hot dogs with proceeds going to the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
Throughout the event, visitors will have the chance to stop by dog-friendly sponsor stations and can also meet adoptable dogs from the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
