Retailers and boutiques at Bell Tower Shops will be offering exclusive promotions and deals during Florida’s back-to-school sales tax holiday in early August.
The Florida Legislature approved Aug. 3-5 as this year’s tax-free weekend, offering shoppers a 6 percent sales tax savings on selected items. Additionally, retail stores and boutiques at Bell Tower Shops are pairing the tax break with significant discounts and sales, thus offering additional incentives to savvy shoppers.
“Florida’s back-to-school sales tax holiday is always a popular time at Bell Tower Shops,” said Samantha Lillard, CSM, senior general manager for Bell Tower Shops. “Tax-free deals aren’t limited to just students. All shoppers, including teachers and parents, qualify for the additional savings if their purchases meet the state’s parameters, and our tenants are planning some fantastic promotions for the weekend.”
Tax-exempt purchases include clothing items like shirts, pants, shorts, jackets, socks, underwear, bras and hats, as well as footwear, belts, ties, backpacks and handbags priced at $60 or less. Additionally, ear buds, notebooks, lunch boxes, calculators and other school supplies valued at $15 or less qualify for the savings. During the tax-free weekend, Bell Tower Shops with be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4; and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5. Operating hours for anchor stores, restaurants and the movie theater may vary from regular center hours.
Bell Tower Shops is undergoing a comprehensive redevelopment to modernize the landmark destination through updated architecture, redesigned storefronts, fresh paint and contemporary lighting. All retail stores, boutiques and restaurants will maintain regular operating hours during construction.
Public school students in Lee and Charlotte counties return from summer vacation on Friday, Aug. 10, while Collier students return on Wednesday, Aug. 15.
