Bobby Nichols Fiddlesticks-Charity Foundation announces Junior Board of Directors

The Bobby Nichols – Fiddlesticks Charity Foundation has established a Junior Board of Directors, consisting of high school students who live in Fiddlesticks Country Club with a demonstrated commitment to volunteering and fundraising.

The founding Junior Board members include Ava Aloia, Mikey Bevins, Lorelai DiSanto, Gracie Mitchell, and Berklie Simmering. Additional high school volunteer committee members include Eliza Incledon, Parker Incledon, Jacob Mast, Annie Nichols, Kayla Nichols and Owen Nichols, CeCe Villareal and Eva Villareal.

“These students dedicated a tremendous number of hours passionately serving the Foundation by aiding in the development and production of the 20th Annual Nichols Cup,” said Mike Lancellot, president of the board of directors for the Bobby Nichols – Fiddlesticks Charity Foundation. “Just as an automobile has many parts, all of which work together to put the vehicle in motion, our Foundation has many parts which are the many talented and committed people who put many activities into motion and MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!” With the collaboration of the newly founded Junior Board of Directors, the Bobby Nichols – Fiddlesticks Charity Foundation was able to soar to new heights this year.”

Junior board and committee members provide event support in a variety of ways including packing golf and tennis tournament participant bags, setting up for the dinner and auction, and providing social media and photography services.

“We are fortunate to live in a wonderful community like Fiddlesticks, and we hope to learn more about the needs of the local nonprofits and how the Foundation is able to help address their needs,” said Berklie Simmering, Junior Board Member. “One of our goals is to help educate youth in our community and encourage other to become involved. We look forward to continuing to recruit and organize neighborhood high school students to assist with the event and serve the Foundation’s mission throughout the year.”

The Bobby Nichols – Fiddlesticks Charity Foundation Pro-Am golf and tennis tournaments and auction gala raised a record $1.7 million in net revenue during the 20th Annual Nichols Cup in February 2022, resulting in a total of $15 million in donations over the past 20 years. The funds raise support local children’s charities assisting abused and at-risk children in Southwest Florida.
