Child Care of Southwest Florida announces new location for The Children’s Learning Center in Fort Myers

Child Care of Southwest Florida has purchased a new facility to provide high-quality early learning programs for families in central and western Fort Myers.

The Children’s Learning Center, located at 37 Barkley Circle in Fort Myers, will accommodate up to 100 children from infants through pre-kindergarten, as well as an after-school program for students in kindergarten through fourth grade.

Child Care of Southwest Florida anticipates opening for students on Thursday, Jan. 2.

The new 5,064-square-foot facility will replace The Children’s Learning Center at FSW. Students who currently attend The Children’s Learning Center at FSW will be guaranteed a position at the new center, which is located three miles to the north.

“The new center has a prime location off Summerlin Road, just south of Colonial Boulevard, and offers convenient access for families in surrounding neighborhoods as well as parents who work at nearby medical clinics, office complexes and businesses,” said Chris Hansen, CEO of Child Care of Southwest Florida. “Other than the change of address, The Children’s Learning Center will offer the same high-quality learning environment that has helped prepare so many students academically, socially and emotionally.”

The Children’s Learning Center is accredited through the National Accreditation Commission for Early Learning Leaders. It is recognized as a Gold Seal Quality Care Program through the Florida Department of Children and Families, and maintains a five-star rating through the Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida. The Children’s Learning Center follows the nationally recognized, research-based Creative Curriculum that builds a safe, nurturing learning environment that develops young minds, supports families, strengthens the community and secures the future.

The Children’s Learning Center will operate weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Scholarship assistance is available, and nutritious meals and snacks are included at no additional charge through Child Care of Southwest Florida’s participation in the USDA’s Child Food Care Program.
