Conservancy of Southwest Florida collects six ADDY awards for outstanding print, digital campaigns

The American Advertising Federation again has honored the Conservancy of Southwest Florida for its excellence in advertising and marketing for both print and digital campaigns.

The Conservancy received six ADDY Awards through AdFed’s Southwest Florida region, which covers agencies, organizations and businesses in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties. The ADDY Awards are the industry’s largest and most representative competition, and winners exemplify the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.

The Conservancy received Best of Print Award for its Magic Under the Mangroves Campaign. The invitation for the annual fundraising event won a Gold ADDY for Special Event Material. The theme of the event “It’s On” celebrated sparkling sunsets, twinkling twilight, sunlight dancing through the mangroves, and the invitation included twinkling lights.

The Judge’s Choice Award and a Silver ADDY were received for the Animal Speaker Poster Campaign, with kid-friendly bold graphics and fun facts about animals that can be seen around the Conservancy campus.

“These instantly caught my attention and held it long enough for me to want to read the copy,” said ADDY judge Jacqui Garcia, associate creative director of &Barr in Orlando. “All in all, I loved the look and the educational messaging that clearly speaks to anyone and everyone. Nicely done!”

Silver ADDYs were also won for 60-second video: “We Fight to Protect Turtles,” and a 30 Second Local Commercial: “Make a Difference.”

“It’s so important that we have the community’s support as carry out the Conservancy’s vision to protect the region’s water, land, wildlife and future,” said Rob Moher, president and CEO of the Conservancy. “Compelling messages help keep the community engaged and inspired to take action to make a difference for Southwest Florida’s unique natural environment.”

The Conservancy’s advertising and marketing initiatives submitted for the ADDYs were led by Kate Kintz, director of marketing and creative services; Greg Willette, digital media manager; and Katie Ferron, community engagement coordinator.
