Craft beer, food, live music on tap Nov. 10 at first-ever Matanzas Craft Beer Fest on the Bay

Matanzas on the Bay on Fort Myers Beach is pleased to announce its first-ever craft beer event, “Matanzas Craft Beer Fest on the Bay,” on tap from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10.

Bringing local breweries, musicians and cuisine to Matanzas on the Bay’s waterfront setting along the back bay of Fort Myers Beach, the fundraising event will benefit Operation Open Arms, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in military personnel.

Matanzas on the Bay has partnered with J.J. Taylor Distributing to bring five local beer vendors to this first-time event, including Bone Hook Brewing Company, Fort Myers Brewing Company, Momentum Brewhouse, Palm City Brewing and Point Ybel Brewing Company.

Soulixer will perform from noon to 2 p.m., introducing a blend of indie rock and soul. Soulixer’s performance will be followed by Sheena Brook, local singer-songwriter and The Voice contestant, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Matanzas on the Bay is also serving up a selection of its popular cuisine, with tasty bites offered throughout the event. Guests can also participate in a number of prize drawings, with proceeds also benefiting Operation Open Arms.

Tickets for Matanzas Craft Beer Fest on the Bay are available for $50, and includes access to craft beer, food and music. Advance ticket purchases can be made at the restaurant or online at www.MatanzasontheBay.com, and can also be purchased on-site the day of event.

The event will take place on the outside deck at Matanzas on the Bay, 416 Crescent St. on Fort Myers Beach. The show will go on rain or shine, and should weather require, live performances will be moved to Petey’s Upper Deck, the restaurant’s upstairs sports bar.
