Disinfect Group USA introduces ‘sanitizing tunnel’ to disinfect people, belongings at venue entrances

Disinfect Group USA has launched a new safety innovation, sanitizing tunnels, that destroy germs, viruses and bacteria upon contact as individuals enter a facility.

The tunnels, which resemble X-ray machines at airports, emit a safe disinfecting mist on individuals and their belongings prior to entering a building. The dry fog is created from ingredients tested and approved by the EPA and FDA in their liquid forms. It uses electrolyzed water technology to create a nearly invisible mist that is all-natural, non-toxic, gentle on the skin and eyes, and does not damage clothing or belongings.

Sanitizing tunnels can be installed at entrances to schools, sports venues, mass transit stations, churches, airports, shopping centers, hotels, theaters, concert halls, theme parks, conference centers, casinos, office buildings and courthouses. Tunnels can be outfitted with thermal heat sensors that accurately detect an individual’s body temperature, as well as digital capacity counters that track a venue’s occupancy.

“Because of COVID-19, many people are hesitant to return to places where large groups are present without added precautions,” said Vinny Antonio, president of Disinfect Group USA. “Coupled with face masks and social distancing guidelines, sanitizing tunnels are an effective solution for businesses and venues that host large groups or events, and offer peace of mind knowing that everyone has been screened and sanitized.”

Clinical lab results demonstrate the fog is scientifically proven to kill 99.99% of germs, viruses and bacteria. Additionally, the product scores all zeros on the OSHA-required Safety Data Sheet, indicating ingredients are non-hazardous and non-toxic, as well as bleach and alcohol free.

“It takes about 30 seconds for the sanitizing tunnels to completely destroy germs and viruses,” said Antonio, who also is president of Fort Myers, Florida-based Victory Marketing Agency. “That’s about the same amount of time the CDC recommends for handwashing, but the sanitizing tunnels kill germs over your entire body and any items you might be carrying, like a cell phone, purse or car keys.”

Disinfect Group USA has exhibited a sanitizing tunnel twice in Florida, first at the event industry’s Together Again Expo on July 24 in Orlando, and again at the Florida Festival & Events Association’s Resilient Together conference on Aug. 19 in Bonita Springs.

In addition to sanitizing tunnels, Disinfect Group USA also offers mobile disinfection units, sanitizing walls, sanitizing stations, thermal cameras and conveyor belt tunnels that sanitize personal items and equipment. Purchase, finance and lease options are available.
