Dr. Carol L. Roberts to offer free lecture on fatigue and sleep deprivation in Naples

Dr. Carol L. Roberts, a Naples physician specializing in natural and holistic healing, will offer a free lecture covering fatigue and sleep deprivation on Jan. 15 in Naples.

Sleep often is overlooked and understated as an essential ingredient to overall health. As a doctor of functional medicine, Roberts helps patients identify the root causes of fatigue and difficulty sleeping, then develops an action plan consisting of exercise, dietary adjustments and other behavioral or lifestyle changes.

The author of “Good Medicine: A Return to Common Sense,” Roberts provides patients with nutritional counseling, natural hormone replacement, detoxification, treatment of chronic illness, medicinal cannabis and holistic medical weight loss. Roberts received a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School.

Roberts’ lecture begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at the Hughes Center for Functional Medicine, 800 Goodlette Road, Suite 270, in Naples. To RSVP for this event, please visit HughesCenterNaples.com/events.

About Hughes Center for Functional Medicine

With the philosophy that every patient has a unique footprint that stems from genetics, lifestyle, toxic exposures and both mental and physical stress, Pamela Hughes, D.O. founded the Hughes Center for Functional Medicine in Naples in 2009, formerly Perlmutter Health Center. The Hughes Center for Medicine provides patients with modern modalities and evidence-based, leading-edge functional and integrative medicine to improve each patient’s health. Hughes and her skilled associate, Carol Roberts, M.D., treat patients as a whole, rather than just a set of symptoms, focusing on understanding each patient’s history with individualized workup and treatments plans. Services include functional diagnostic testing, nutritional analysis, IV therapies, supplements therapy and hyperbaric therapy. Located at 800 Goodlette-Frank Road in Naples, the center is open on Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a brief closure for lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.
