Bell Tower Shops, Southwest Florida’s dog-friendly shopping, dining and entertainment destination, is partnering with the Gulf Coast Humane Society to host a Valentine’s Day-themed Yappy Hour block party from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9 at Center Court.
Held on the second Friday of each month, Yappy Hour is the area’s largest pet-friendly social hour, providing an evening of fun for pet lovers and their four-legged friends. February’s theme is “Fall in Love with a Rescue,” a fitting motif as Valentine’s Day approaches, and the event will feature a costume contest to name the most lovable duo. Owners and their pets are invited to dress up for a chance to win a gift card for a dog-friendly Bark on the Ark cruise, compliments of Pure Florida. An on-site $5 donation to the Gulf Coast Humane Society is requested per dog to enter.
Live music will be presented by Ayla Lynn in Center Court, in addition to a bounce house, a sidewalk chalk station and lawn games for guests to enjoy. Cru will present the beer and wine for the evening, with all proceeds from beer purchases to be donated to the Gulf Coast Humane Society. Omaha Steaks will also present a “Doggone Good Deal” – $2 hot dogs and $1 water bottles with proceeds going to the Gulf Coast Humane Society. As Merchant of the Month, World of Beer will also provide guests with menu samplings.
Throughout the event, visitors will have the chance to stop by dog-friendly sponsor stations and meet adoptable dogs from the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
