Athletic Orthopedic and Reconstructive Center physicians Drs. David B. Sudderth and Peter B. Walimire will host a free seminar on the causes and treatment options for foot pain.  The seminar will be held on Wednesday, March 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cape Coral Hospital, 636 Del Prado Blvd. in Cape Coral. Walimire, a podiatrist, and Sudderth, a board-certified neurologist, will discuss foot-related problems and the medical conditions that can result in foot pain and numbness. Attendees are invited to ask questions of the physicians.

Walimire and Sudderth are experienced in the diagnosis, surgical and non-surgical treatment of a variety of foot and ankle conditions, including foot and ankle trauma; diabetic limb salvage; internal and external fixation devices; bunions; gout; hammertoes; arthritis; tendon problems; corns and callouses; ingrown toenails; and neuromas.

A board-certified neurologist with more than 25 years of experience, Sudderth has expertise in treating patients with back and neck injuries and pain; carpal tunnel and other nerve problems; migraines and other types of headaches. He is fellowship trained in electromyography and has more than 20 years of experience using MRI as a medical imaging diagnostic tool.

Walimire is a graduate of Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Mich., and the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at Florida Hospital East Orlando, where he was the chief resident. Walimire is an associate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Florida Podiatric Medical Association.  In addition, he is a volunteer with the Special Olympics of Florida Healthy Athletes Initiative’s Fit Feet division.
