Fort Myers firm Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz donates $25,000 to KindLee

Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz donated $25,000 to KindLee, a nonprofit that supports children in need and other community causes. The donation is one of many made by the firm to support area nonprofits during its 60 years serving the community.

KindLee was inspired by the Bartley family, who asked family and friends to perform random acts of kindness in honor of their infant son, who passed away. Since it started in 2016, KindLee has helped raise funds for pediatric mental health, children’s grief support and substance abuse treatment as well as conducted drives for food, Thanksgiving turkeys, shoes and toiletries for those in need.

“We are happy to support KindLee and the acts of kindness it celebrates and fosters in our community,” said Andrea Smith, attorney and partner for Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz. “Many of the organizations the firm supports are involved with helping children, including our annual Toys for Tots and school supply drives. Because we live and work in the community, we are committed to doing what we can to make sure it’s a better place.”

KindLee President Kelly Fayer said the donation from Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz will help the nonprofit expand its program of helping children facing challenges such as trauma, abuse, loss and financial hardship, and will create community service projects to help others and then celebrate their success.

“We help children create a community service project to help someone else,” said Fayer. “Being able to help others reminds these children that they are special and valuable. This gift will allow us to be able to spread this kindness to so many people in the community and help people in ways we didn’t think was possible.”
