GMA Architects and Planners (GMA) has completed design services for a new 16,000-square-foot church, Temple for Ministerio del Rey Jesus, located on Santa Barbara Boulevard, north of Pine Island Road in Cape Coral.

The new facility features a sanctuary with seating for 820 and the capability to transmit the services live over the internet and on television. The two design goals were expressed in the volume of the sanctuary structure and in the modern façade. Pastors Kerwin and Gloria Castillo requested the contemporary architectural style, which has been incorporated into the design. The facility also includes a book store, administrative space, meeting space and large narthex. The new Temple will be located on a tropically landscaped five-acre site.

Dan R. McGahey AIA of GMA, served as principal-in charge. Rick McCormack AIA of GMA was project manager.
