Gora/McGahey Architects (GMA), won a Merit Award for architectural design for a public works facility for the Pine Ridge Government Complex in Fort Myers during the fifth annual Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) Commercial Contractors Council Summit Awards event.
“We are proud of the work done on the Pine Ridge Government Complex and honored to be recognized by the BIA and our peers,” said Dan McGahey of Gora/McGahey Architects, who served as the principal in charge on the project. Fabian Behague served as project manager on the project.
The Summit Awards program recognizes BIA members who have obtained an outstanding level of success and demonstrated superior professionalism in the commercial construction industry throughout the year.
A panel of Orlando-area commercial construction professionals judged the projects for originality, quality of design, challenges, timeliness of completion and safety. Charitable events were judged on creativity and coordination of a special event and its impact to the local community.
