Guadalupe Center Resale Shop opens new location, hosts grand opening celebration Jan. 26-27

Guadalupe Resale Shop is pleased to announce that its new, expanded location is now open at 12980 Tamiami Trail N., Unit 10, in Naples, and invites the community to visit the new store for a grand opening celebration on Friday, Jan. 26 and Saturday, Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Throughout the grand opening weekend, guests can enjoy refreshments as they browse the selection of items at Guadalupe Resale Shop’s new location, and will also have the opportunity to participate in a prize drawing to win a $100 gift certificate to the store.

Located on the northeast corner of U.S. 41 and Imperial Golf Course Boulevard, just three miles north of its previous location, the new store offers an expanded showroom to display the many gently used items that help offer a fresh start for the children of Immokalee. All proceeds from sales at the Guadalupe Center Resale Shop benefit the Guadalupe Center, a nonprofit organization focused on breaking the cycle of poverty through the education of children. The funds help support Guadalupe Center programs dedicated to serving Immokalee students from cradle to career, including the organization’s Early Childhood Education, After-school Tutoring & Summer Enrichment and college preparatory Tutor Corps Programs.

Old items are given a new beginning at the Guadalupe Center Resale Shop, which accepts donations of name brand furniture, kitchen and dinnerware, small kitchen appliances, household décor, lamps, artwork, linens, jewelry and designer clothing. Donations can be dropped off between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. through the Resale Shop donation entrance, which is located at Unit 9 at the rear of the store. Free pick-up is also offered for gently used name brand furniture.

In order to continue impacting more than 1,300 students in Immokalee through its educational programs, Guadalupe Center relies on volunteers of all ages and talents to operate the Resale Shop. To inquire about volunteer opportunities, call 239-594-2696 or stop by the Resale Shop to speak with a manager.

The Guadalupe Center Resale Shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. To learn more, call 239-594-2696 or visit www.guadalupecenter.org.
