Guadalupe Center seeks sponsors, golfers for its charity golf tournament at Vineyards Country Club in Naples

The 4th annual Guadalupe Charity Golf Classic is set for Friday, April 20 at Vineyards Country Club in Naples.

Guadalupe Center, a nonprofit organization focused on breaking the cycle of poverty through education for the children of Immokalee, is seeking both golfers and sponsors for its upcoming golf tournament.

The cost for individual players is $250, which includes a round of championship golf, lunch buffet and a ticket to the post-tournament awards party. Sponsorship packages for twosomes and foursomes range from $750 to $5,000, and include options for hole signs, program advertisements and additional tickets to the awards party. Hole sponsorships are $150 each.

Registration and a lunch buffet begin at 11:30 a.m., and a 1 p.m. shotgun start opens the tournament. The awards party with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner buffet and silent auction commences at 5:30 p.m. Vineyards Country Club is located at 400 Vineyards Blvd. in Naples.

Early bird sponsors include Audi, BCB Homes, Fifth Third, First Florida Integrity Bank, Gulfshore Life, Lee Health Foundation and Marine Max Yacht Center of Naples.

Proceeds from the golf tournament will support Guadalupe Center’s three educational programs: Early Childhood Education for youth up to 5 years old; After-School Tutoring and Summer Enrichment for students in kindergarten, first and second grades; and Tutor Corps for college-bound students at Immokalee High School. In particular, proceeds from this year’s golf outing will support Guadalupe Center’s free Summer Enrichment Program that will host approximately 300 kindergartners, first-graders and second-graders from all five of Immokalee’s elementary schools. Students enrolled in Guadalupe Center’s Summer Enrichment program enjoy nutritious healthy meals and academic instruction by professional staff and high school students working in the Tutor Corps program. They also benefit from social and emotional skill-building activities, including summer field trips and excursions. Many children, especially those from homes where poverty is pervasive, struggle with summer learning loss and lack a safe place to go with adult supervision during the summer break.

To become a sponsor or register for the tournament, or make a donation, please contact Amy Chancy, director of corporate partners and grants, at achancy@guadalupecenter.org or 239-657-7711, or register online at www.guadalupecenter.org/apps/pages/GuadalupeGolf.
