‘Guadalupe Galaxy’ auction lots: Italian adventure, wine tasting in Napa Valley and more

Guadalupe Center has released live auction packages for Guadalupe Galaxy, a fundraising gala that will be held Jan. 20 at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples.

An Italian getaway. Trips to Napa Valley and the U.S. Open. A sunset helicopter tour. A shopping spree at Waterside Shops.

Proceeds from the auction and gala will support transformational education programs for students in Immokalee. Guadalupe Galaxy marks the return of a live auction because last year’s signature gala was a fully virtual event.

“A live auction is just one portion of our gala, but the energy and enthusiasm it generates is palpable,” said Guadalupe Center President Dawn Montecalvo. “You have an entire room full of supporters encouraging and challenging each other to bid, knowing that every dollar raised will help create life-changing educational opportunities that allow students to overcome poverty.”

Guadalupe Galaxy will include the following auction packages:

  • Up in the Air: All guests at the winning bidder’s table will be served an exclusive Cosmic Cocktail. The winner will receive a dining gift certificate and a sunset helicopter ride for two aboard a luxury helicopter to enjoy the natural beauty of Southwest Florida’s coastline. • Italian Charm: The winner and a guest have two fabulous Italian options – a six-night stay along the picturesque Amalfi Coast with a farm-to-table cooking class or a six-night tour of Florence and Tuscany that includes tours, wine tastings and a sunset cruise. • Championship Golf: Four guests can witness one of golf’s greatest events at the 2022 U.S. Open and get up close and personal with PGA professionals. Enjoy a six-night stay and spectacular views at a private oceanfront home just 45 minutes from the golf course, as well as a dining voucher for Legal Sea Foods. • Wine Country: Four guests will be treated to first-class tickets to California, where they will enjoy a three-night stay in Napa County and two-night stay in Sonoma County for multiple wine tastings, culinary experiences and private transportation. • Shop for Fashions: The winner and a guest will embark on a fun-filled day of shopping for gifts that represent the 12 signs of the Zodiac, including stops at Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Tiffany and Ralph Lauren. The winner also will enjoy dinner at BrickTop’s and a stretch limo for the day. Courtesy of Waterside Shops.

“Guadalupe Galaxy: Constellations of Hope” will be held Thursday, Jan. 20 at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, 2600 Tiburon Drive in Naples. In addition to the live auction, the gala will feature cocktails, dinner, heartwarming student performances and speakers, galaxy-inspired décor, out-of-this-world entertainment and the popular Jump Up for Education, a lively interactive call to action that allows attendees to make donations and jump up to show their support for Guadalupe Center.

The presenting sponsor for Guadalupe Galaxy is Moorings Park Grande Lake by London Bay Development Group. Event chairs are Bev Cherry and Debbie Toler.
