Ocean Prime, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ award-winning modern American restaurant and lounge, welcomes Executive Chef Jason Mallon to its new Naples location opening Dec. 19 adjacent to Inn on Fifth in the heart of downtown Naples. Mallon brings 15 years of restaurant industry experience to the role of Executive Chef. Highly regarded for its genuine hospitality, Ocean Prime offers an impressive menu of fresh seafood, prime cuts of steak, signature cocktails and an award-winning wine list.
Mallon grew up in St. Augustine, Florida, and spent the past 10 years at Ocean Prime Tampa before moving to Naples. He joined Ocean Prime in January 2009 after hearing the personal story of renowned restaurateur Cameron Mitchell, owner of Ocean Prime and Cameron Mitchell Restaurants.
At Ocean Prime Tampa, Mallon started as a broil cook, was quickly promoted to kitchen supervisor, then to the role of sous chef. Having experienced the benefits of internal job growth, Mallon soon found himself engaging in associate development, training new chefs and associates in the kitchen, before stepping into the executive chef position at Ocean Prime Naples where he will oversee kitchen operations, food preparation and quality.
With his passion for preserving the integrity of the highest quality ingredients, Mallon’s philosophy in the kitchen is sure to resonate with Naples-area foodies, and anyone who appreciates a first-class culinary experience.
