Leadership Next logo with tagline

Leadership NEXT, a monthly program for advancing business professionals, will host a networking program from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at Page Field in Fort Myers.

The program will be held on the second floor of the Base Operations at Page Field building, located at 5200 Captain Channing Page Drive in Fort Myers, and includes food and two complimentary drinks with a choice of sangria or margaritas provided by Cantina Laredo.

Sponsored by Key Private Bank, the Leadership NEXT event will provide insights into the history of the general aviation airport, established in 1923 in the heart of Fort Myers. The airport has evolved into a key component of Southwest Florida’s economy and transportation network and is home to approximately 400 aircraft and multiple businesses including flight training schools, aircraft maintenance and repair, emergency medical air transport services and more.

Attendees will hear from Erin Croop, marketing coordinator for Page Field and its award-winning, fixed-base operator, Base Operations at Page Field. Croop’s passion is sharing how general aviation impacts the community through tours and other outreach activities. She also serves as chair of the National Business Aviation Association YoPro Council, a committee of industry leaders who seek to enhance networking and educational opportunities for young professionals in business aviation.

The nonprofit spotlight for the event is United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades, a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people in the community. Its mission is accomplished through fundraising, fund distribution, community building, volunteer advancement and information and referral. United Way has raised and distributed almost $200 million since it was established in 1957. All money stays in the community to help support local human service organizations.

Attendees of Leadership NEXT represent a variety of businesses and industries throughout Southwest Florida. Sessions offer opportunities to develop new knowledge and skills, establish working relationships with colleagues and engage in valuable programs and discussions to further enhance their careers. Leadership NEXT’s annual sponsor is the Florida Gulf Coast University Alumni Association.

Admission is $10 for Chamber members and $20 for future members. Attendees can register at FortMyers.org or call 239-332-2930.
