Lee BIA Builders Care’s popular BBQ, Bands & Brew fundraising event is returning on April 2 to Centennial Park in Fort Myers, featuring a lineup of live performances, food vendors and fun-filled activities for all ages.
Four headliners will take the stage throughout the day, including The Collective at 11 a.m., Deb & The Dynamics at 1 p.m., Rocker at 3 p.m. and Hat Trick at 5 p.m.
Southwest Florida’s top pit masters are competing for the title of “Best BBQ in Town,” and will feature specialty dishes from Jonesez BBQ, 5 Piggies Bar-B-Que, Big D’s BBQ by Farmer’s Market, Big Smoke BBQ and Munchies Smokehouse BBQ, as well as vendors including Farmer’s Corn and Kona Ice.
The event will also feature a lively cornhole tournament, a rock-climbing wall and a children’s play area with face-painting, magician, balloon twister, games and more.
The 11th annual BBQ, Bands & Brew will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 2 at Centennial Park, 2000 W. First St. in Fort Myers. Tickets are $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Tickets are available for purchase in advance or at the gate.
The festival is a major fundraising event in support of Builders Care’s mission to provide emergency construction services at no cost to needy and deserving elderly and/or disabled homeowners, and their families, who cannot obtain repairs through traditional means. To date, Lee BIA Builders Care has helped more than 475 Lee County households and provided over $4.8 million in emergency construction services and materials at no cost to families and local homeowners in need. With the exception of 2020-21, when the event was not held due to the pandemic, the event has been held annually since its inception in 2010, raising over $590,000 in support of Lee BIA Builders Care.
