Top softball athletes from throughout the state are headed to Lee County for the Florida U.S. Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) Fastpitch South Florida State Championships, taking place Friday, June 30, to Sunday, July 2. The tournament will feature A, B and C-level teams with age bracket divisions ranging from 8U to 18U. Games will be played at Cape Coral Sports Complex, CenturyLink Sports Complex, North Collier Regional Park, Cape Coral Northwest Softball Complex and Sam Fleishman Sports Complex.
An estimated 140 teams are expected to participate in this year’s championship tournament. The event is anticipated to bring an estimated 5,000 sports visitors to the area that will generate approximately 3,500 hotel room nights and $1.3 million in direct visitor spending.
