Matanzas on the Bay reveals new look for 2016

Matanzas on the Bay on Fort Myers Beach has revealed a new look for its customers this year, featuring a redesigned menu offering an in-depth look into the restaurant’s history and locally sourced menu options, along with a newly renovated bar for guests to enjoy.

Matanzas on the Bay is setting itself apart from the rest with its focus on locally sourced menu options. The redesigned menu resonates this commitment to restaurant patrons by sharing the stories behind its products, including its locally caught grouper, shrimp and oysters exclusively sourced from the Gulf of Mexico, lobster tail from the Florida Keys, vegetables that are locally sourced whenever possible and unique bar offerings from Fort Myers Brewery and Wicked Dolphin Rums. The menu also highlights fun happenings that occur year round at Matanzas on the Bay, including its weekly Jazz on the Bay, which takes place every Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., and other popular annual events.

Matanzas on the Bay’s revamped bar area offers guests an enhanced dining experience, providing the opportunity to relax and enjoy the island ambience of Fort Myers Beach. With the overall goal to brighten the area and enliven the attitude of the space, the renovated bar now features a new white quartz bar top and white paint accents in the space, newly installed wood grain ceramic tile floor and the addition of Edison light features for ambience. Matanzas on the Bay also opened the space by reducing the size of the host station, replacing lattice room dividers with glass dividers and utilizing additional window space to allow more natural light into the bar area.

“Our goal for Matanzas on the Bay is to create an inviting atmosphere that will make our guests feel right at home,” said Glen Petrarca, general manager of Matanzas on the Bay. “The menu enhancements give restaurant goers the opportunity to learn more about Matanzas on the Bay and become familiar with who we are as a company, and the renovations within our bar area contribute greatly to the overall environment.”
