Men’s Health Month: Naples Center for Functional Medicine to host June 19 lecture on the impacts of low testosterone

Dr. Eduard Maristany

Dr. Eduardo Maristany will lead a complimentary lecture on June 19 for Southwest Florida men wanting to learn about how low testosterone levels might be impacting their overall health.

Maristany, a board-certified internal medicine physician at Naples Center for Functional Medicine, is trained by the Institute of Functional Medicine and works with male patients to help increase their testosterone levels through natural solutions like a modified diet, exercise and supplements.

“June is Men’s Health Month, so it’s an ideal time to address a problem that impacts so many men of all ages,” Maristany said. “Many people think low testosterone only affects a man’s sex drive, but decreases in testosterone also have been connected to memory loss, depression, weight gain, difficulty sleeping, a reduction in bone density and even higher rates of mortality and diabetes.”

The free lecture starts at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, at the Naples Center for Functional Medicine, 800 Goodlette-Frank Road, Suite 270, in Naples.
