Murphy USA partners with Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County

Murphy USA is partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County to raise money that supports life-enhancing after-school and summer programs for local children and teens.

Through Nov. 1, customers at all six Murphy USA gas stations in Lee County can round up their purchases at the store or donate any amount to support Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County’s Great Futures Start Here campaign.

Nationally, Murphy USA partners with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to help fulfill the nonprofit’s mission: to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.

“Since we launched this program in 2020, we have raised almost $4 million dollars to support kids and teens at local Boys & Girls Clubs across the country,” said Renee Bacon, Murphy USA’s senior vice president of sales and operations. “With nearly 1,650 stores across 27 states, we are dedicated to giving back in the communities we live, work and serve. Our commitment to America’s youth does not have an end date, and we look forward to partnering with our employees and customers to meet those needs. Together we can fuel great futures for local kids.”

“Hurricane Ian had a devasting impact across Lee County, and many of our families are struggling with housing, employment and transportation,” said Denise Gergley, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County. “Murphy USA’s round up program can help provide after-school opportunities that are critical for children and teens as our region rebounds and rebuilds.”
