Norman Love hosts cooking school at Gather Venice food and wine festival

Norman Love, owner and founder of Norman Love Confections, recently hosted culinary courses at Gather, a JW Epicurean & Mindful Experience, a food and wine festival held at JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa on the Venetian archipelago of Isola delle Rose. In partnership with Food and Wine, the event brought together some of the world’s leading culinary and wellness experts for a three-day epicurean extravaganza offering guests intimate chef cooking classes, tastings, experiential dinners and engaging opportunities to explore the connection between food and well-being.

With an emphasis on premium ingredients and innovative flavor combinations, renowned chocolatier Norman Love hosted a cooking class, For the Love of Chocolate, sharing the culinary artistry that goes into making each piece of his handcrafted confectionary delights into gorgeous gourmet works of art.

Additionally, at a second workshop, Chef Love demonstrated his take on tiramisu, the classic Italian dessert whose name means “pick me up” in Italian. Attendees watched as Norman Love created an eye-catching, modern version of the aptly named coffee-flavored dessert made from a light, airy sponge cake soaked in sweet espresso and layered with mascarpone cheese mousse.

During the coveted grand “Il Finale: All-Star Feast gala dinner, Chef Love joined five Michelin-star chefs to present a multi-course seated dinner to 130 guests, where he presented his interpretation of Ferrero Rocher, a chocolate and hazelnut confectionery produced by the Italian chocolatier, Ferrero.

“It was an honor to participate among some of finest epicurean experts in the world and to share my passion and appreciation for artisanal desserts in beautiful Venice, Italy,” Love said, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to showcase our focus on artistry, premium ingredients, and innovative flavor combinations to an international audience of food and wine lovers during this very special event.”
