Pelican’s Nest Golf Club promotes Dan Gawronski to director of golf

Dan GawronskiPelican’s Nest Golf Club is pleased to announce that Dan Gawronski, former head golf professional, has been promoted to director of golf for the club. In this position, Gawronski is responsible for managing the day-to-day golf operations of Pelican’s Nest Golf Club. He is integral to supporting the direction of the club through the Greens Committee, the Golf Committee and also assists the director of membership sales in attracting and acclimating new members to the club.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Gawronski has been a member of the Pelican’s Nest Golf Club team since 2011. He joined the club as a 16-year veteran of the Southwest Florida private club market, with a five-year background in sales and sales management. Gawronski began his golfing career playing competitive junior golf, went on to play for his school’s golf team and then competed for Loyola University in Maryland, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. In addition to his responsibilities at Pelican’s Nest Golf Club, Gawronski is also an officer with the Southwest Chapter of the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA), sits on the board of the South Florida Section, and is an adjunct instructor at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), educating the next class of golf professionals within FGCU’s Professional Golf Management Program.

“Dan has been an influential member of our team for the past six years, and we are excited to see what’s in store as he leads our team in this new position,” said David Gillespie, general manager for Pelican’s Nest Golf Club. “His role as director of golf will further our ability to provide an exceptional golfing experience for our members and guests, and I know that his efforts will be beneficial to the continued success of our club.”
