PierSide Grill and Famous Blowfish Bar on Fort Myers Beach has raised more than $2,400 to benefit the community production of the annual Fort Myers Beach New Year’s Eve firework celebration.
With an annual fireworks display costing approximately $20,000 for the fireworks production alone, the Fort Myers Beach community has come together to assist the Town of Fort Myers Beach in raising the necessary funds that will keep the annual firework production alive for Southwest Florida. PierSide Grill and Famous Blowfish Bar commenced its fundraising efforts in May, and has since hosted several fundraisers throughout the year, including “Fling a Flounder for Fireworks” and Firework Fridays, along with fundraising drink specials.
“We are honored to have the opportunity to contribute to the beloved New Year’s Eve firework celebration, and it is wonderful to see our community come together to keep this special event alive here on Fort Myers Beach,” said Martin York, managing partner of PierSide Grill and Famous Blowfish Bar. “We could not have done it without our valued guests, and PierSide Grill and Famous Blowfish Bar is greatly appreciative of their continued support this year.”
