The August General Membership Meeting of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce will be music to members’ ears as performing artist Sheena Brook offers a mini-concert and members of the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB) reveal details of the fifth annual Island Hopper Songwriter Fest.
The VCB will announce the final list of sponsors and musicians scheduled to perform at the 10-day event in September. Brook, a country singer-songwriter from Fort Myers Beach who has appeared on NBC’s “The Voice,” will offer entertainment during the chamber luncheon.
The August luncheon is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16 at St. Charles Yacht Club, 15900 St. Charles Harbour Blvd. in Fort Myers.
The Island Hopper Songwriter Fest runs from Sept. 21-30 at locations in Captiva, Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. Top performers include Midland, Earl Bud Lee, Dylan Altman, Lee Thomas Miller, Wendell Mobley and others. The VCB is Lee County’s tourism marketing agency and responsible for promoting the region’s travel opportunities, activities and events to a local, statewide, national and international audience.
