Stevens Construction has expanded its Fort Myers team with the addition of project manager, Chris Walczak, announced Mark Stevens, company president.

Walczak joins Stevens Construction with more than 12 years of commercial construction and architectural experience. He previously served as a project manager for a national construction manager where he completed Moore Haven Middle-High School, a 100,000-square-foot project and Community School of Naples, a 20,000-square-foot facility.

Walczak earned his Bachelor of Arts and Science degree with minors in architectural history and structural engineering; and his master’s degree in architecture from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. A LEED BD+C Accredited Professional and licensed Real Estate Sales Associate, Walczak served as an adjunct professor at Florida SouthWestern State College teaching courses in construction management, estimating and scheduling for three years.

In his role as project manager at Stevens Construction, Walczak will have overall responsibility for the management and execution of commercial projects during all phases of design and construction, ensuring projects maintain budget and schedule. Walczak will also work closely with the design team to provide value engineering suggestions, constructability analysis, as well as negotiate and award vendor contracts, conduct owner/subcontractor meetings and monitor the construction team.
