The RocketLounge, Dave Fleming, PhD/Ingenuity Lab (iLab) and Naples-based InspireLink have partnered to present a free boot camp series dedicated to increasing the number of successful startup businesses in Florida. The boot camp will offer a series of four free workshop experiences beginning in March. These startup ingenuity workshops will occur at 6:30 p.m. on March 21, April 18, May 16 and June 20, and will be held at The RocketLounge, located at 1422 Hendry St. in Fort Myers. The workshops are free and open to the public.

The boot camp is a result of a strategic alliance between The RocketLounge, Dr. Dave Fleming of iLab, and InspireLink to create an exclusive startup development program based on the group’s work and research.

Fleming engages organizations, which Fleming also refers to as “tribes,” of all types in order to infuse more ingenuity into their daily execution.

“If you work to achieve an important mission, you always need to, 1) find more usable ideas, 2) maximize available resources, and 3) adapt fast and smart. These three actions form the core of ingenuity for any group. And startups need ingenuity from day one,” Fleming said.

“We are thrilled about the potential of the boot camp program. The weekend boot camps will be rare experiences for entrepreneurs and for those who have the desire to start an entrepreneurial venture,” said Brian Benson, founder of InspireLink. “Through the boot camp program, InspireLink can maximize the value of its already existing content by plugging it into the boot camp framework. Furthermore, the recordings of various boot camp sessions will additionally be edited and curated into online content and courses. This may just be one of the most influential efforts to change Southwest Florida’s entrepreneurial culture and to enhance the economic future of the whole region.”

Fleming’s iLab, InspireLink Campus and The RocketLounge Academy plan to offer the first startup boot camp in October 2017. The boot camp will provide a distinctive learning experience for all participating entrepreneurs, helping them generate marketable ideas and turn those ideas into a business model that produces results. Most importantly, participants will learn how to build teams, or “tribes,” that ingeniously execute every phase of their work.

The boot camp experience will be the first offered to entrepreneurs in Southwest Florida. Additional boot camp series will follow to address various groups of entrepreneurs and/or startups. Fleming’s work and the boot camp material will also be applied to more extensive programs, like vertical and special accelerators.

“We feel privileged to partner with such high-quality organizations like the InspireLink Campus and the Ingenuity Lab. Our three organizations together will create boot camps that will be unique not just in Southwest Florida but in the U.S. as well. Startups have to ingeniously use their very limited resources to achieve success. The boot camp, powered by Fleming’s work and research, will tremendously help create a blossoming startup ecosystem, which in turn will help the region to diversify the Southwest Florida economy.” said Peter Ocsody, co-founder and chief operating officer of The RocketLounge.
