Every month, Priority Marketing’s clients and partners host a wide range of special events, seminars, workshops, activities and fundraising opportunities. Check out the list of client events in August 2022.

Wednesday, Aug. 24 

Client Events in August 2022 - Love That DressPace Center for Girls, Lee will host its annual Love That Dress! event at the Embassy Suites in Estero. Love That Dress! is described as the ultimate feel-good shopping spree of the year and offers thousands of new and gently loved dresses, shoes, handbags and accessories at nominal prices to benefit Pace Center for Girls, Lee.  

Last year, the fundraiser featured a record-breaking collection of 9,000 items and raised $65,000. In 2022, Pace Center for Girls is celebrating 14 years of the community’s obsession for fashion and giving. 

Fashionistas at Love That Dress! will enjoy music, shopping, a silent auction and cocktails. Major sponsors and VIP guests have early access to shopping, private dressing rooms, express check-out, complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres, and a private selection of decadent desserts.

Additional Client Events in August 2022 

Through Aug. 1: Pace Center for Girls, Lee is inviting Southwest Floridians to clean out their closets for a cause. Donations of new and gently loved dresses will be sold at deeply discounted prices to attendees of the Love That Dress! See the link for drop-off locations. LINK: Make Space for Pace 

Aug. 3: Women in Business, a committee of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, will host a mixer event at Dave & Buster’s. The principles of Women In Business are to focus on career, networking and our community. Light refreshments will be served and guests are encouraged to bring business cards. Aug. 3, 19 & 30: Senior Choice at Home is hosting a three-part series of informational seminars that outline its innovative, member-based program for independent, healthy older adults. Senior Choice at Home provides members with a lifelong commitment to care, asset protection and the ability to receive individualized care coordination, all from the comfort of their own home. Sessions cover care coordination, membership options and member testimonials. LINK: Deeper Dive 

Aug. 5-7: Sunshine Ace Hardware stores are participating in Children’s Miracle Network’s 10th annual Miracle Bucket Days promotion, which allows customers to make a $5 donation to Golisano Children’s Hospital through the Lee Health Foundation in exchange for a five-gallon bucket and a 20% discount on nearly everything that fits inside the bucket. Aug. 10: Gulf Coast Village is hosting a Munch & Learn event that explores the benefits of living in a Life Plan community, including chef-prepared meals, maintenance-free living, a campus of activities and clubs, and a full continuum of care. LINK: Munch & Learn 

Aug. 11: The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce will host its inaugural Chamber Awards, recognizing members for outstanding contributions to the community. Awards include small and large business of the year, community impact, entrepreneur of the year, nonprofit excellence and young professional of the year. LINK: Chamber Awards 

Aug. 18: The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon will offer business professionals the opportunity to learn more about local nonprofit organizations that have dedicated their services to empowering and supporting individuals with disabilities. LINK: Monthly Luncheon 

Aug. 20: Family Initiative is providing free autism screenings by appointment for children ages 1-3. The early assessment measures a child’s progress toward milestones in terms of how they play, learn, speak and act. LINK: Autism Screenings 

Aug. 23: Leadership NEXT, a monthly program for advancing business professionals, will offer attendees a behind-the-scenes look at day-to-day operations at Page Field. Monthly sessions offer opportunities to develop new knowledge and skills, establish working relationships with colleagues, and engage in valuable programs and discussions that enhance careers. Aug. 24: Renowned playwright, director, storyteller, actress and arts educator Nan Colton will discuss the life of best-selling mystery author Agatha Christie. The humorous discussion at Gulf Coast Village in Cape Coral is open to residents and guests. LINK: It’s a Mystery 

Aug. 25: Kids’ Minds Matter is offering a free parent workshop, Dignified Discipline, that shows how parents can manage their children’s behavior in a way that maintains healthy relationships while changing inappropriate behaviors. Aug. 25: The latest installment of Gulf Coast Village’s popular “Art of” series continues with resident Claudio Weiss, who will share stories of her travel adventures. From the rain forest of Borneo to studying koala bears in Australia, Weiss has been globetrotting around the world for decades. LINK: The Art of Travel
