Things to do: client events in DecemberDec. 6: Bell Tower will host its third annual Tree Lighting event filled with caroling, joyous spirit and a visit from Santa Claus. Children can enjoy a bounce house, face painting, holiday-themed activities and appearances by Anna, Elsa and Olaf from the movie “Frozen.” The event also features holiday horses from Endless Trails Stables, a DJ-led dance party and craft station.

Santa will arrive on a fire truck and flip the light to light up Bell Tower’s 25-foot tree positioned in the festively decorated Center Court.

Dec. 1-31: Norman Love Confections is donating $1 to Barbara’s Friends for every candy cane box of chocolates sold throughout December. Barbara’s Friends is the cancer fund at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. LINK: Candy Cane Donation

Dec. 3: The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s annual Holiday Party has a “home for the holidays” theme with Santa, a live jazz ensemble, 1936 Ford Christmas tree pickup truck and a wide selection of food, including appetizers, carving stations, a pasta station, mashed potato and sweet potato bar, a make-your-own-s’mores station and more. Dec. 4: Naples Center for Functional Medicine will host a complimentary class titled “Hormones: Fatigue or Fiesta?” that explores the role of hormones and how fluctuations can impact mood, energy levels, appetite, concentration, bodily function, mental health, sleep, illness, disease and more. Dec. 6: Benson Blackburn’s NextGen Speaker Series event will feature insights and inspiration from entrepreneur Jim McDermott, founder of Stamps.com and NanoH2O. The speaker series brings together business and community professionals to encourage leadership, mentorship, empowerment and philanthropy. LINK: NextGen

Dec. 6: Lee BIA Builders Care’s third annual Charity Clay Shoot will offer individual shooters and shooting teams an opportunity to navigate a multi-station interactive course while completing specialty challenges and competing for prizes. Dec. 6: The 10th annual Golisano Children’s Hospital Fashion show will preview the latest fashions while offering ample opportunities to socialize and win raffle prizes. LINK: Fashion Show

Dec. 6-7: Ocean Prime Naples is a featured restaurant in 5th Avenue South’s two-day Christmas in Naples event. Ocean Prime chefs will prepare an exquisite four-course meal highlighted by Chilean sea bass and Australian Wagyu entrées for guests seated at a 1,600-foot table running down the famed 5th Avenue South. Dec. 7: Sunshine Ace Hardware’s free Neighborhood Christmas Party features holiday gifting and home decorating demonstrations, hot chocolate, cookies, coloring book giveaways and a special visit from Santa Claus. LINK: Christmas Party

Dec. 10: Leadership NEXT, a monthly program for advancing business professionals, will hold its December session at Kitchen Social, a lively new interactive cooking school in Fort Myers that offers chef-led culinary experiences. LINK: Leadership NEXT.

Dec. 11: Shangri-La Springs will host the first of five Art & Soul Community Nights featuring live music, art exhibits, free mini spa treatments, food from the garden-to-table restaurant Harvest & Wisdom, special guests and more. Dec. 13: Shell Point Retirement Community kicks off the Southwest Florida Symphony installation of its 2019-2020 Fine and Performing Arts Series with a performance of “Christmas in Paradise.” Maestro Nir Kabaretti will conduct the Southwest Florida Symphony’s sparkling Holiday Pops: Christmas in Paradise program with a sophisticated twist. Dec. 28: Fort Myers Brewing will celebrate the chill in the air at Winterfest 2019, which features local food trucks, live entertainment and a large selection of favorite beers and special releases. LINK: Winterfest.
