Summer is upon us, and although July typically features less events, many of our clients are hosting virtual seminars and workshops to stay connected with the community. Below are some of our clients’ offerings for July: 

June 30-July 5: Fort Myers Brewing’s 8th Summer Beer Festival will highlight the craft brewery’s to-go services. A new festival beer will be available in 4-packs with the option to take it home in crowlers or growlers, and two new brews will be released each day during the festival. LINK: Summer Beer Festival 

July 1: The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business networking event features a virtual cooking tutorial demonstrating how to infuse CBD into food and drinks for an overall healthier lifestyle. Experts from Seed & Bean Market in Fort Myers will show participants how CBD can be mixed into food, coffee, mocktails and more. LINK: Women in Business 

July 6, 13. 20 and 27: The popular Mental Health Mondays virtual series, coordinated by Kids’ Minds Matter, will explore topics in children’s mental and behavioral health. Discussions are led by area experts in their respective fields. July’s topics include the benefits of animal-assisted therapy, youth addiction and more. LINK: Mental Health Mondays  

July 7, 14, 21, 28: Kids’ Minds Matter continues to host its weekly series, Partners in Parenting: The Exceptional Child, that connects parents of children with developmental disabilities, mental health issues or special health care needs. LINK: Partners in Parenting  

July 8, 16 and 31: Gulf Coast Village is hosting a series of virtual seminars for prospective residents interested in learning how Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) offer a smart investment plan and carefree retirement lifestyle. LINK: CCRC is an Asset 

July 9: The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce will recognize outgoing board chairperson Bryan Blackwell (Molloy Financial Group) and welcome incoming chairperson Jim Larkin (Crowne Plaza Bell Tower) at an event featuring remarks, heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinksLINK: Board Transition Celebration 

July 10, 14 and 27Senior Choice at Home is hosting a series of webinars that offers attendees an opportunity to learn about Southwest Florida’s only Continuing Care at Home program, which provides a safety net of continuing care as individuals age. LINK: Life Plan at Home 

July 13 and 27: Kids’ Minds Matter will host free parent workshops, Dignified Discipline, that shows how parents can manage their children’s behavior in a way that maintains healthy relationships while changing inappropriate behaviors. July 14: Leadership NEXT, a program for advancing business professionals, will offer a webinar exploring resources and insights to help businesses respond to impacts caused by COVID-19. Program participants will learn how to earn the Seal of Confidence from FGCU’s Restart SWFL initiative. LINK: Leadership NEXT 

July 16 and 20: Kids’ Minds Matter will host Crianza con CariñoDisciplina Digna, the Spanish-language version of its Dignified Discipline workshop that shows how parents can manage their children’s behavior in a way that maintains healthy relationships while changing inappropriate behaviors. LINK: Disciplina Digna 

July 31-Aug. 2: Sunshine Ace Hardware is raising money for Children’s Miracle Network through its three-day Blue Bucket Days. Customers who donate $5 will receive a limited-edition, 5-gallon Ace Hardware bucket, and nearly everything that fits inside the bucket will be discounted by 20%.
