May 29-June 4: Sunshine Ace Hardware increased its inventory of hurricane supplies and created special displays in advance of Florida’s Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday, which concludes on June 4. Now through June 30: Nominations are open through July 1 for the annual APEX Awards, which will be held Nov. 13 and recognize outstanding women in the Greater Fort Myers community who excel in the areas of professionalism, philanthropy and leadership. LINK: APEX Awards

June 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29: Kids’ Minds Matter will host its Mental Health Mondays every Monday to help Southwest Florida parents and children understand warning signs, coping mechanisms and learn how to get help. LINK: Mental Health Mondays

June 2, 4, 9 and 11: Healthcare Network will host a series of free virtual conversations tailored for healthcare workers throughout Florida. The discussions will focus on reactions, coping strategies and resilience building related to COVID-19. June 3: Kitchen Social will offer the backdrop for a session of Women in Business, a monthly program that will feature a cooking demonstration in addition to lively networking opportunities. LINK: Women in Business

June 6: The Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s von Arx Wildlife Hospital is hosting a Virtual Baby Shower to raise awareness and support for its youngest patients. June 9: Three of Priority Marketing’s clients – The Island Cow, Fort Myers Brewing and IMAG – will lead a panel discussion about how creative pivots and communication strategies helped them rise above challenges caused by COVID-19.
