Total Wine & More’s Points with a Purpose raises $34,330 for Community Cooperative

A two-week customer appreciation event where shoppers collected five times the loyalty points at Total Wine & More’s Lee County stores resulted in a donation of $34,330 for  Community Cooperative. The donation will help fund ongoing emergency food programs during the pandemic, including the soup kitchen, Meals on Wheels, the Community Market and mobile food pantries throughout Southwest Florida.

“This toast of support from the Southwest Florida Total Wine loyalty members will help Community Cooperative continue to feed the community, as food distribution needs are at record high,” said Tracey Galloway, CEO of Community Cooperative. “We anticipate the demand for help will continue to rise as we move into the holiday months, and we remain committed to serving the growing need with support of the community and partners like Total Wine and many others.”

Total Wine & More donated an amount equal to the value of all points that customers accrued at Total Wine & More’s Lee County stores from Sept. 1 through Sept. 13. The initiative was part of a Points with a Purpose event at Total Wine & More nationwide, which committed to donating up to $2 million across 25 states.

“The Points with a Purpose event was our way of saying thank you to our customers for their patronage and loyalty and, at the same time, investing in the communities we serve,” said Matt Indre, Senior Manager, Public Affairs & Community Relations at Total Wine & More. “In selecting Community Cooperative as our local charity, we support an outstanding charitable organization and its very important work throughout Lee County. By earning and using points, Total Wine and its loyalty members can help the organization help those in need. That’s points with a purpose!”
