Tumaini Fund to Host Colors of Hope Benefit Gala

Proceeds to Aid Impoverished Orphans and Widows in Tanzania

The Naples-based nonprofit organization Tumaini Fund USA will host its annual “Colors of Hope” benefit gala March 19 to raise funds to help thousands of  impoverished AIDS orphans and widows in the Kagera region of northwest Tanzania, one of the poorest regions of the world. The event, which will begin at 6 p.m. at the Naples Sailing & Yacht Club at 896 River Point Drive in Naples, will feature live and silent auctions of fine artwork, luxury travel packages to Napa Valley; Camden, Maine; and Cordon Bleu of Ottawa, Canada. Ticket price of $95 includes dinner buffet, two drink tickets, entertainment, valet parking and a presentation by Tumaini Fund CEO and founder, Dr. Susan Wilson.

Event proceeds will help Tumaini Fund USA continue its support for more than 25,000 Tanzanian orphans, supplying them with necessities such as food, blankets, mosquito nets and access to clean water. The Tumaini Fund strongly promotes educational opportunities in order to help orphans become self-sufficient and end the cycle of poverty.

“The Colors of Hope gala is our largest fundraiser of the year and we hope the 2016 event is more successful than ever before,” said Rick Swope, president of Tumaini Fund USA. “This organization has brought hope to the lives of so many children and it wouldn’t be possible without the giving spirit of the Southwest Florida community.”
