Ocean Prime Naples, proudly named one of OpenTable’s 100 Best Restaurants in America for a Big Night Out, introduces Vladimir Trivunovic as its new executive chef. Trivunovic brings more than eight years of culinary experience to his new role of executive chef.
Born and raised in Serbia, Trivunovic joined Ocean Prime Naples during its opening in 2016, serving as its executive sous chef before taking on the role of executive chef. He earned a culinary arts degree at the University of Novi Sad and gained experience as a sous chef in Serbia prior to relocating to the United States to advance his career as a chef. Since moving to Southwest Florida, Trivunovic gained experience in country clubs, hotels, and restaurants, including Avenue 5, the local fine-dining concept that previously occupied the current Ocean Prime location next to Inn on Fifth.
“Since our opening almost two years ago, Vladimir has served as an important member of our culinary operations, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the leadership team,” said Rick Giannasi, Ocean Prime Naples general manager. “He is truly passionate about the art of preparing food and providing genuine hospitality, and I know that he will continue to create raving fans of Ocean Prime Naples.”
Since taking on his new role, Trivunovic launched Ocean Prime’s seasonal lunch menu, available daily beginning at 11:30 a.m., with new features including Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with kale, pickled fennel and horseradish mustard aioli as well as a Poke Bowl with ahi tuna, cured salmon, avocado and sriracha vinaigrette. Ocean Prime Naples, renowned for its scratch kitchen, is open seven days per week for lunch at 11:30 a.m. and dinner at 5 p.m., and is located at 699 5th Ave. in downtown Naples adjacent to the Inn on Fifth.
