Women in Business to kick off APEX Awards season with Aug. 4 networking social

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business Committee will kick off the 15th season of its annual APEX Awards with a networking social on Wednesday, Aug. 4.

Women in Business will host a casual afternoon of networking that provides an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the annual APEX Awards and spend time with this year’s finalists, nominees and many APEX Sisters who are past recipients of the award. The 2021 finalists include Kathleen O. Berkey of Becker & Poliakoff, P.A., Kerri Goldsmith of HBKS Wealth Advisors and Alicia Miller of Our Mother’s Home.

The networking event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4 at The Wine Room, a wine bar and retail shop located at 1544 Broadway in downtown Fort Myers. Casey Cosmetic Surgery is the toast sponsor for the event.

The Women in Business program is $10 for members of the Chamber and $20 for future members. Admission includes one complimentary beverage. Advance registration is strongly encouraged and can be done at FortMyers.org or by calling 239-332-2930.

Women in Business’ annual APEX Awards recognizes women with outstanding reputations for professionalism, philanthropy and leadership in Southwest Florida. The Aug. 4 event is a precursor to the main awards luncheon on Aug. 27, which will reveal the 2021 APEX Award recipient and recognize all finalists and nominees. The APEX Awards are presented by Sanibel Captiva Community Bank. Learn more about the main luncheon at FortMyers.org/Events/APEX-Awards.
