During the Yoga Teacher Conference April 22-24 in Denver, a panel discussion on the state of the yoga industry will include representatives of Yoga Unify, International Association of Yoga Therapists and Yoga Alliance. The discussion will be livestreamed for free from noon to 1 p.m. MST April 23.

“It’s been rough the last few years for the yoga industry as the pandemic and other forces have redefined our business,” said Allison Rissel, founder of Yoga Teacher Conf. “We are pleased to share this important panel discussion so that everyone can learn how these three big organizations are helping improve the lives of yoga teachers and yoga therapists and helping to define the industry moving forward.”

For people who cannot attend Yoga Teacher Conf: Elevate in person, new livestream opportunities have also been added. Yoga Teacher Conf: Elevate is an opportunity for professional development and continuing education beyond yoga teacher training, and sessions are designed to increase professionalism within the yoga industry. The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Aurora/Denver.

Participating in the conference via livestream includes 12 sessions from the conference, 28 Yoga Alliance CEUs, and lifetime access to all recordings. Livestream packages prices are $179.

“We believe in providing high-quality educational opportunities for our participants,” said Rissel. “We have collaborated with sponsors to make the Yoga Teacher Conf affordable and accessible to yoga teachers from all over the world.”

Yoga teachers of all skill and experience levels can participate in classes, workshops and free masterclasses, with a focus on practical tools to elevate themselves, their businesses and their students. The three-day, in-person registration cost of $330 includes workshops and classes, a catered Friday welcome social and Saturday networking lunch, goodbye ceremony, swag bag and prizes. Discounted hotel rates are available for conference attendees. Limited Saturday or Sunday-only passes are available for $179.

Free headshots for yoga teachers will be available on April 24. Yoga podcasters will be in-person at the podcast booth, and there will be a yoga bookstore and various yoga vendors.

The conference includes sessions each day within these eight themes: beyond asana, teaching skills, living your yoga, yoga therapy, anatomy, business for teachers, classical/ayurveda and business for studios.

“We didn’t want just another festival; we wanted to give our teachers value, to give them practical tools to elevate themselves, their businesses and their students,” Rissel said.

Three in-person, all-day pre-conference workshops April 22 are available for $180 for all teachers, even if they are not attending the conference. Seminars include:

  • “Skill in Action” with Charlie Redd and Lauren Kay Roberts to address social justice for yoga teachers.
  • “Scattered to Clarity: Get Clear on Your Yoga Business Goals” with Shannon Crow and Amanda McKinney
  • “Astrology for Yoga Teachers: The Sun and Natal Charts” with Sirena Dudgeon.
