Drive and Dine: A Drive Through Charity Adventure is cruising through Avow’s campus on Friday, Oct. 28 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples. The event will include drive-up stations where participants will pick up portions of a full meal to enjoy at home. The event raises funds for the nonprofit healthcare organization that provides hospice care, non-hospice palliative care, Avow Kids and Center for Grief Support programs.

Participants will drive to each station, stay in their car and staff will provide them with portions of their fully prepared meal to enjoy at home, with a group of friends, at a park, or even at a high school football game tailgate. Each stop will also include take-home information about the services that Avow has been providing the community for 40 years. Participants and the public can additionally support Avow through an online auction through Oct. 31.

“We started this drive-through concept during the pandemic to offer no-touch fun, and it was so well-received,” said Avow Chief Philanthropy Officer Annalise Smith. “As the only nonprofit hospice organization in Collier County, we count on community support to carry out our mission to serve people of all ages with hospice, non-hospice palliative care and grief and loss support.”

The to-go meals include salad and bread from Neapolitan Gourmet; steak, chicken or vegan/vegetarian entrées prepared in a mobile kitchen onsite from Shula’s Steakhouse, and desserts from Mikkelsen’s Pastry Shop.

Tickets start at $150 per person for the three-course meal with wine; $250 per person for the meal, wine, a chance to add a special wish at the wishing well, a centerpiece and a keepsake photo; $1,000 for eight meals and wine; and $1,800 for eight meals, four bottles of wine and a keepsake.

This event is sponsored, in part, by HomeCare Homebase, Sentinel Technologies and PBS Construction.
