Boys & Girls Club of Collier County has promoted Jaime Buitrago to vice president of administration, a senior leadership role in which he oversees all human resources, culinary, information technology and facilities departments. He also has assumed the lead role in the organization’s safety committee.
Buitrago joined Boys & Girls Club in 2015 and previously served as the club’s human resources director, leading the hiring process for full- and part-time employees, including campus directors, academic instructors, fundraising professionals, program leads, lifeguards, counselors and more. He also oversaw employee training, benefits management, payroll and policy development.
Buitrago’s prior roles in Southwest Florida included financial services representative for First Citizens Bank and benefits manager at Hodges University. He also has been an active leader within HR Collier, an affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. Buitrago earned a bachelor’s degree in business management, with an emphasis in human resources, from Hodges University, where he later earned a master’s degree in business management.
“Jaime has a wealth of knowledge and experience in administration and human resources, two areas that are incredibly important for a growing nonprofit organization like ours,” said Boys & Girls Club President and CEO Megan McCarthy Beauvais. “He is an expert on the business and management side, but the primary motivation that drives Jaime is his passion for serving the youth of this community. Without a high-functioning Boys & Girls Club, so many young people in Naples and Immokalee would not have the opportunities to realize their full potential.”
Boys & Girls Club of Collier County annually serves nearly 4,000 children and teens, ages 6 to 18, through clubs and after-school programs at campuses in Naples and Immokalee.
